Rae Isla at The Phyllis Maud

26 February @ 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm
£12

Dirty Carrot Records and The Phyllis Maud are very proud to host US alt-country artist Rae Isla on her upcoming UK tour.

Originally from Bainbridge Island, WA, Isla now resides in Los Angeles, by way of a vocal scholarship at Berklee College of Music, but her musical journey started much earlier starting with the classical cello before adding piano, guitar and songwriting to her inventory. Rae Isla channels her wealth of performance experience into lush evocative songs deeply rooted in her alt-country, indie-folk influences.

Her 2021 debut, Another Life garnered critical acclaim with features in both Rolling Stone and Billboard magazines and charting at #27 on NACC radio. Isla’s follow up, New Frontier marks an evolution in her artistry featuring fan favourites ‘Miles and Miles, and ‘Stones’ and utilising innovative promotional methods such as custom video games sending 700 handwritten postcards to promote her Pacific Northwest tour and creating a Music NFT collection. 2025 saw the release of a string of singles for Isla, featuring collaborations with Lawrence Rothman (Amanda Shires), Pete Lyman (Brandi Carlisle) and Barry Fowler (Grace Power).

Rae Isla’s music is a communal experience, on a personal level, she uses the powers at her disposal to keep the channel opening, breaking down the barrier between artist and audience, and we can think of nowhere better to share such an intimate experience than our humble little theatre.
