Five-day Met Office forecast for Wales

The good news from the Met Office is that Thursday will be a brighter, but remaining windy.

Here is the five-day forecast for Wales:


Heavy morning showers in the north ease to leave a bright day with frequent showers. Downpours gusty and occasionally heavy with risk of hail. Strong winds and risk of coastal gales, easing later. Maximum temperature 9 °C.


Further showers throughout the period, but easing in the later evening. Turning cloudy and showery again in the small hours, with heavy and widespread downpours. Winds remain strong. Minimum temperature 4 °C.


Wet and windy. Persistent showers throughout, most intense and frequent in the morning and evening, with some brighter and drier condition in the afternoon. Windy, with coastal gales developing later. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Blustery showers and sunny spells on the weekend, with risk of hail. Winds remain strong, with gales and severe gales along coasts Saturday, easing Sunday. Cloudy with rain on Monday.
