Met Office forecasts run of dry, warm and sunny days for Wales as spring arrives

It’s set to be a great weekend for all those heading out to watch the finals of the Six Nations as Wales is predicted to bask in sunshine over the next few days. The Met Office has said there will be “plenty of warm spring sunshine” over the weekend with Saturday predicted to be the best day.

Highs of 14°C are expected on Saturday the best of at least five days of dry weather expected in Wales from Thursday. The forecast for Thursday in Wales reads: “Plenty of sunshine during the morning. A band of cloud and a few showers will arrive in the north and west bringing a few showers. Sunny spells continuing elsewhere. Breezy. Maximum temperature 14°C.”

What is the forecast for the rest of the UK?

On Thursday many areas will wake up to a chilly start but fine conditions will last for most of the day in southern and eastern England. There will be rain and brisk winds in the north west spreading to central areas, which will be followed by blustery showers.

As we move into the weekend, showers are expected in the far north but these will clear by early Friday. Some night frost and fog is predicted elsewhere but all areas will remain dry and will see particularly sunny weather over the weekend.
