Llanwern Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course and is reputedly one of the oldest in South Wales. In 2010 the club based PGA professional Leanne Cooper was named the Ladies European Tour-sponsored PGA female assistant of the year.
Founded in 1903, Newport Golf Club is regarded as one of the best parkland courses in South Wales, located 300 feet above sea level, amongst the birch, beech and oak trees of the ancient Llwyni Wood.
